Sending P2P Data

How Payers send member Payer2Payer data to our payer customers

1. Submit Evidence for being a Payer

We first will need to verify you as a member of a health insurance organization before granting access to our Payer 2 Payer APIs (If you have done this previously you can skip to Step 2).
To do this, you must send an email from your company email address to payer2payer@ 1up.health, [email protected]with the following information:
  • Your Name
  • Your Health Insurance company name
  • Link to your payer company website
  • On the email please cc the executive business sponsor for the Payer2Payer project (e.g., CIO) from the payer organization. We will ask them to verify the request is on behalf of their payer organization
We will review your information and ask any additional follow up questions as needed.

2. Send Member Information

Send an email to payer2payer@ 1up.health, [email protected]
Include the following information:
  • Member Name
  • Member date of birth
  • Previous member ID number (from their previous plan, not your current member ID number)
  • Member zip code

3. POST FHIR Resources

Upon review of the information received from steps 1 and 2 above, we will provide you with an access token specific the the member in question which will give you the ability to POST resources only (not read, search, update). The access token will expire in 2 hours and we will provide a specific example of how to POST data using the token.
